Athletic Training

St. Francis Rehab and Sports Medicine is the athletic training and sports medicine provider for Shakopee and Jordan High School. We have two Athletic Trainers that work at the schools in the afternoon to see injured athletes in the Athletic Training Room. Our Athletic Trainers also cover a wide range of home sporting events such as football, soccer, basketball, lacrosse and many more. St. Francis Regional Medical Center also is a sponsor for the Shakopee Soccer Association and provides Impact testing and sports medicine services to the club on an as needed basis.

Not only do our Athletic Trainers see the injured athletes but they also work with the Athletic Director, coaches, doctors, and teachers to ensure the best care for the athletes. Athletic Trainers work in the areas of prevention and health promotion, clinical examination and diagnosis, acute care of injury and illness, therapeutic interventions, psychosocial strategies and referral, health care administration and professional development and responsibility.  Our program offers: Impact testing, on site game coverage, post physical therapy sport specific training and basic first aid care. If your organization would like to utilize our services please contact St. Francis Rehab and Sports Medicine for more information.
